Regular Season Round 4: HCMC W. - Saigon H. 89-106

Bottom-ranked Hochiminh CW is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to second ranked Saigon Heat (5-2) 106-89. Saigon Heat forced 33 Hochiminh CW turnovers. American Tavarion Nix (201, college: Midwestern St.) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Center Khoa Tran-Dang chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Saigon Heat players scored in double figures. American forward Quinton Doggett (206-90, college: Southern) produced a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Henry Nguyen (, college: Orange Coast CC) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Hochiminh CW's coach Brian Rowsom rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Saigon Heat maintains second position with 5-2 record having just one point less than leader Can Tho CF. Hochiminh CW at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Saigon Heat's next round opponent will be Danang Dragons (#4) on the road. Hochiminh CW will play against Thang Long W. and hopes to get finally their first victory.
