Regular Season Round 19: Joondalup W. - Perry Lakes H. 61-85

Date: July 13, 2018
Everything went according to plan in Joondalup where eighth ranked Hawks (9-11) outleveled 11th ranked Wanneroo (5-15) 85-61 on Friday. Hawks forced 21 Wanneroo turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Hawks especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 66.7 percentage. New Zealand guard Antonia Farnworth-Edmondson (181-87) fired 26 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The former international power forward Natalie Burton (194-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Amy Kidner (183, college: N.Colorado) produced 11 points and American forward Kourteney Zadina (188, college: N.Colorado) added 14 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hawks maintains eighth place in League with 9-11 record. Loser Wanneroo keeps the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Hawks will face higher ranked Tigers (#5) in Willetton in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Wanneroo will play at home against Flames (#3) and hope to win that game.
