Regular Season Round 15: Lhasa - Guangxi 96-116

NBL top team - Guangxi (12-2) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Lhasa (6-8) 116-96. Guangxi dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Lhasa's 46. They outrebounded Lhasa 38-26 including 32 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Guangxi made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for American center Isaiah Austin (216-93, college: Baylor, agency: Slash Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-92, college: N.Mexico St.) helped adding 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Four Guangxi players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-91, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Pensack Sports) with 39 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard DaYong Wang (187-87) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guangxi have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-2 record, which they share with Shaanxi X. Lhasa lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Luoyang. Guangxi is looking forward to face Guizhou (#5) at home in the next round. Lhasa will play against Fujian (#11) in Fuzhou and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
