The game in La Paz was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Rubair (3-3) played at the court of 5th ranked AND1 La Paz (1-2). Rubair managed to secure a 6-point victory 93-87 on Friday. Rubair forced 24 AND1 La Paz turnovers. Strangely AND1 La Paz outrebounded Rubair 49-36 including 19 on the offensive glass. Venezuelan guard Gregory Curvelo (190-90) scored 32 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Venezuelan guard Reimer Machado (185-89) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Rubair players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Cuban power forward Daniel Nembhard (204-91) with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 4 blocks and Dariel Maza produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Rubair moved-up to second place, which they share with Pichincha. Loser AND1 La Paz keeps the fifth position with two games lost.
