Regular Season Round 20: NGC Seahawks - SW Metro P. 95-101

Very predictable result when sixth ranked South West Metro Pirates (8-6) won against 15th ranked NGC Seahawks (3-12) in Runaway Bay 101-95 on Friday. South West Metro Pirates outrebounded NGC Seahawks 49-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. NGC Seahawks were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Ryan Vines (178-91, college: Co.Georgia) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Nigerian-American guard Princeton Onwas (198-93, college: San Jose St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. South West Metro Pirates' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Quinton Campbell (201-93, college: S.Mississippi) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Jerron Jamerson (193, college: Goshen) added 25 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for NGC Seahawks. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Despite that victory South West Metro Pirates went down to seventh position (League) due to points difference. Newly promoted NGC Seahawks dropped to the fourteenth place with 12 games lost. South West Metro Pirates will face Ipswich Force (#10) in Booval in the next round. NGC Seahawks will play on the road against Ipswich Force (#10) in Booval and hope to win that game.
