Rather predictable result when third ranked Geelong Supercats (12-7) won against 5th ranked Mount Gambier Pioneers (9-9) in Mt Gambier 89-72 on Friday. Geelong Supercats dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Mount Gambier Pioneers' 30. Geelong Supercats looked well-organized offensively handing out 45 assists comparing to just 28 passes made by Mount Gambier Pioneers' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Geelong Supercats made 30 blocks. American guard Demarcus Gatlin (193, college: Sam Houston St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 7 assists.
