Regular Season Round 19: Rockhampton C. - Toowoomba M. 103-60

No shocking result in a game in Rockhampton where fifth ranked Cyclones (10-5) smashed bottom-ranked Mountaineers (0-14) 103-60 on Saturday. Cyclones dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Mountaineers' 42. Cyclones forced 27 Mountaineers turnovers and outrebounded them 54-26 including a 24-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Mountaineers' players. American Shanavia Dowdell (188-87, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: LBM Management) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Christina Boag chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. Four Cyclones players scored in double figures. Cyclones' coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American swingman Donnaizha Fountain (183, college: Seton Hall, agency: Gamble Sports Management) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and M Prentice added 16 points respectively for lost side. Cyclones maintains fifth place in League with 10-5 record. Loser Mountaineers still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Cyclones will face league's leader Flames in Townsville in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mountaineers will play at home against Logan Thunder (#12) and hope to get finally their first victory.
