There was a minor upset in Sutherland where 4th placed Sharks (9-5) were defeated by sixth ranked Comets (7-7) 72-61 on Saturday. Strangely Sharks outrebounded Comets 47-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Serika Shillingsworth fired 23 points and 7 assists for the winners. Jaimee Cohen chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Chelsie Schweers (170-89, college: Chris.Newport) produced 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Madeleine Norris added 15 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Comets maintains sixth place in League with 7-7 record. Loser Sharks keep the fourth position with five games lost. Comets will face league's leader North Bears in Crows Nest in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sharks will play on the road against Crusaders in Terrigal and hope to win that game.
