No shocking result in a game in Bullcreek where first ranked Lightning (18-1) smashed 11th ranked Wanneroo (5-15) 91-60 on Saturday. Lightning looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American forward Sydnee Fipps (178, college: Cal-Davis) fired 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Ashleigh Grant (187-97) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Four Lightning players scored in double figures. Forward Amy Kidner (183, college: N.Colorado) produced 19 points and 9 rebounds and Chelsea Belcher added 13 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lightning maintains first place in League with 18-1 record. Loser Wanneroo keeps the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Lightning will face Eagles (#12) in Morley in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Wanneroo will play at home against Flames and hope to win that game.
