Very expected game in Flinders Park where 8th ranked Warriors (4-13) were rolled over by leader Rockets (17-0) 97-62 on Saturday. Rockets dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Warriors' 38. Rockets forced 25 Warriors turnovers and outrebounded them 49-37 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Warriors' players. The former international swingman Jo Hill (182-73) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. American guard Leah Metcalf (170-83, college: N.Carolina) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 assists and 6 steals. Five Rockets players scored in double figures. Rockets' coach felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Nyre Harris (173, college: San Jose St., agency: AgainHello) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and Katherine Perkas (-92) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Rockets maintains first place in League with 17-0 record. Loser Warriors keep the eighth position with 13 games lost. Rockets will face Lions (#9) in Gawler in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Warriors will play on the road against Mavericks in Mt. Barker and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
