Regular Season Round 20: Mandurah M. - Kalamunda E.S. 74-127

Date: July 14, 2018
Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Suns (10-14) rolled over 12th ranked Magic (6-17) in Mandurah 127-74 on Saturday. Suns forced 20 Magic turnovers and outrebounded them 43-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 55.2 percentage. Suns looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Power forward Louis Timms (206-91, college: Wayland Baptist) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points. American center Kevin Davis (206-91, college: Cent.Washington) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Five Suns players scored in double figures. Power forward Chudier Pal (205-91, college: NC-Asheville) replied with 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and American swingman Jamal Shabazz (198-94, college: Samford) added 19 points in the effort for Magic. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Suns moved-up to ninth place in League. Loser Magic dropped to the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. Suns will face higher ranked Tigers (#7) in Willetton in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Magic will play at home against the league's leader Buccaneers (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
