Very predictable result in Cotton Tree where third ranked Sunshine CP (11-3) beat 12th ranked Logan Thunder (3-11) 64-60 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Sunshine CP looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international center Abby Bishop (189-88) fired a double-double by scoring 28 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Swingman Amy Browne (178-90) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. C Carroll produced 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Zitina Aokuso (192-98) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Logan Thunder's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sunshine CP maintains third place in League with 11-3 record having eleven points less than leader Bendigo LB. Loser Logan Thunder keeps the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Sunshine CP will face Meteorettes (#7) in Mackay in the next round.
