No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Larranaga (5-5) beat 13th ranked Tabare (2-9) in Montevideo 71-64 on Monday. Tabare was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Manuel Monteverde (194-95) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Lamar Roberson (203-86, college: La-Lafayette) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Federico Miller (195-95) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and forward Emiliano Serres (206-97) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Tabare. Four Tabare players scored in double figures. Larranaga maintains ninth place with 5-5 record. Tabare lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with nine games lost.
