NBL top team - Guangxi (14-2) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat seventh ranked Wuhan (8-8) 96-81. The game was mostly controlled by Guangxi. Wuhan managed to win fourth quarter 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American center Isaiah Austin (216-93, college: Baylor, agency: Slash Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points and 8 rebounds. Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-92, college: N.Mexico St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Guangxi players scored in double figures. Ukrainian center Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-94, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman Devin Green (201-82, college: Hampton, agency: Interperformances) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Wuhan. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guangxi have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-2 record, which they share with Shaanxi X. Newly promoted Wuhan keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Guangxi is looking forward to face Hunan (#3) in Changsha in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Wuhan will play at home against Fujian (#11) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
