Regular Season Round 13: A1 Challenge - KIU Rangers 78-44

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked A1 Challenge as it allowed them to take a leadership position. A1 Challenge smashed 5th ranked KIU Rangers at home 78-44. A1 Challenge held KIU Rangers to an opponent 20.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.0 percent accuracy of the winners. A1 Challenge forced 26 KIU Rangers turnovers. Guard Stella Nikuze (-92) fired 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Susan Amito chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Brenda Aujat (176-94) produced 8 points and 11 rebounds and guard Fionah Apiyo added 14 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. A1 Challenge (10-2) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. KIU Rangers lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with seven games lost. KIU Rangers will play next round against Angels trying to get back on the winning streak. A1 Challenge will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Magic Stormers on the road.
