An interesting game was also home defeat of 5th ranked Suns in a game in Kalamunda versus Tigers (#4) 87-76. Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by American forward Ashli Payne (183-95, college: E.Washington, agency: Gamble Sports Management) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists and Desiree Kelley supported her with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Tigers players scored in double figures. Tigers' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 14 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists by swingman Alex Ciabattoni (183-94) did not help to save the game for Suns. American power forward Jennie Rintala (188-90, college: S.Dakota St.) added 15 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts. Tigers maintains fourth position in League with 14-7 record. Loser Suns keep the fifth place with eight games lost. Tigers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Suns will play against Slammers (#9) in Bunbury and hope to secure a win.
