Regular Season Round 18: Shaanxi X. - Luoyang 113-88

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Shaanxi X. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Shaanxi X. smashed 10th ranked Luoyang in Xian 113-88. They outrebounded Luoyang 49-31 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Shaanxi X. players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Luoyang's players. South Sudanese-Lebanese center Ater Majok (208-87, college: Connecticut) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and guard Jiawei Feng (190-95) supported him with 25 points and 4 assists. Five Shaanxi X. players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 34 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds by Nigerian forward Ebi Ndudi (206-84) did not help to save the game for Luoyang. Forward Shuai Liu (196-95) added 25 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Shaanxi X. (15-2) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Luoyang at the other side dropped to the ninth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Henan and Fujian. Luoyang will play next round against Chongqing trying to get back on the winning streak. Shaanxi X. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
