Regular Season Round 10: Betway Power - City Oilers 57-65

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Betway Power (12-3) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by second ranked City Oilers (11-3) 65-57. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. City Oilers outrebounded Betway Power 48-37 including 17 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Burundian forward Landry Ndikumana (198-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds. The former international point guard Jimmy Enabu (187-88) contributed with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international forward Joseph Ikong (193-85) replied with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Geofrey Soro added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Betway Power. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. City Oilers have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 11-3 record behind leader Betway Power. Betway Power at the other side still keeps top place with three games lost. City Oilers' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala Pemba Warriors.
