Regular Season Round 20: Dandenong R. - Canberra C. II 78-59

There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Rangers (10-10) outplayed 6th ranked Nationals (6-13) in Dandenong 78-59 on Saturday. The game without a history. Rangers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Rangers forced 20 Nationals turnovers. Strangely Nationals outrebounded Rangers 48-31 including 33 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Power forward Tayla Roberts (191-93) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Center Rebecca Pizzey (190-99) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Brittni Montgomery (190-92, college: Cent.Florida) replied with 7 points and 17 rebounds and Rosemary Schweizer added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Nationals. Rangers maintains sixth position in League with 10-10 record which they share with defeated Nationals. Loser Nationals keep the sixth place with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
