Rather predictable result when third ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (12-8) rolled over 7th ranked Ballarat Rush (5-14) in Greensborough 99-62 on Saturday. The game without a history. Diamond Valley Eagles led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Diamond Valley Eagles forced 26 Ballarat Rush turnovers. New Zealand swingman Chevannah Paalvast (180-91, college: Monmouth) orchestrated the victory by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Guard Abigail Wehrung (177-95) contributed with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Taiwanese center Hsi-Le Bao (196-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds and American swingman Amy Griffin (185, college: La Salle, agency: LBM Management) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Ballarat Rush. Ballarat Rush's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Diamond Valley Eagles maintains third position in League with 12-8 record having eight points less than leader Bendigo LB. Loser Ballarat Rush keeps the seventh place with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
