Very predictable result when first ranked Lightning (20-1) rolled over bottom-ranked Eagles (0-21) in Bullcreek 96-71 on Saturday. Lightning forced 26 Eagles turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Eagles' players. Power forward Ashleigh Grant (187-97) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Sydnee Fipps (178, college: Cal-Davis) contributed with 23 points and 6 assists for the winners. Five Lightning players scored in double figures. Lightning's coach felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Ladondra Johnson (178, college: Young Harris) replied with 38 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Eryn Fisher added 9 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Eagles. Lightning maintains first position in League with 20-1 record. Loser Eagles still closes the standings with 21 games lost. Lightning will have a break next round. Eagles will play at home against the league's second-placed Redbacks (#2) and hope to get finally their first victory.
