No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Magic (10-11) crushed 10th ranked Cougars (6-15) in Hamilton Hill 84-61 on Saturday. Magic dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Cougars' 38. They outrebounded Cougars 52-27 including a 23-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Magic looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Slovakian center Regina Palusna (192-89) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. American guard Anita Brown (173, college: Akron) contributed with 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American forward Kisha Lee (182-85, college: UNLV) replied with 21 points and her fellow American import guard Brianna Moyes (170, college: Akron) added 14 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals in the effort for Cougars. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Magic moved-up to sixth place in League. Loser Cougars keep the tenth position with 15 games lost. Magic will face Wanneroo (#11) in Joondalup in the next round where they are favorite. Cougars will play on the road against Flames in Rockingham and hope to win that game.
