Very predictable result when first ranked Flames (14-2) won against 14th ranked Power (1-14) in Gladstone 91-84 on Saturday. Power trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 23-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 84-91 at the end of the game. Flames looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Swingman Miela Goodchild (175-0) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 assists. New Zealand guard Micaela Cocks (174-86, college: Oregon) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners.
