Regular Season Round 13: Angels - A1 Challenge 47-65

The game in was also quite interesting. Second ranked A1 Challenge (10-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Angels (2-9). A1 Challenge did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 65-47 on Saturday. A1 Challenge forced 23 Angels turnovers. Forward Brenda Nakitende (-94) stepped up and scored 11 points and 4 steals for the winners and forward Susan Amito chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side Irene Nalunkuma responded with 12 points and 7 rebounds and Tausi Mumena produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for A1 Challenge. They keep a position of league leader. Angels lost their eighth game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the eighth place with nine games lost. A1 Challenge will meet Magic Stormers (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Angels will play against KIU Rangers and hope to secure a win.
