Regular Season Round 10: Charging Rhinos - UCU Canons 52-64

Rather predictable result when eighth ranked UCU Canons (7-9) won against 11th ranked Charging Rhinos (4-12) in Kampala 64-52 on Saturday. UCU Canons outrebounded Charging Rhinos 52-30 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. David Kongor notched a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and Tanzanian forward Fadhili Chuma (-95) supported him with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Even 11 points and 7 rebounds by forward Daniel Ojoro did not help to save the game for Charging Rhinos. Guard Francis Kasekende added 6 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. UCU Canons moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted Charging Rhinos keep the eleventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with UPDF. UCU Canons will meet at home higher ranked JKL Dolphins (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Charging Rhinos will play against the league's leader Betway Power (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
