Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Miramar (#4) and Capitol (#2). Miramar (8-4) won against visiting Capitol (9-4) 91-85. Miramar dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Capitol's 32. Miramar forced 22 Capitol turnovers. Strangely Capitol outrebounded Miramar 40-21 including a 30-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Faronte Drakeford (201-92, college: Cent.Conn.St.) stepped up and scored 28 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and forward Damian-Andres Blazina (186-93) chipped in 22 points, 5 assists and 6 steals. At the losing side guard Matias Lado (174-84) responded with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and American center Gene Teague (206-89, college: Seton Hall, agency: DTMones) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Five Capitol players scored in double figures. Miramar moved-up to third place. Loser Capitol keeps the second position with four games lost.
