Top ranked Cordon (10-3) recorded its third loss in Montevideo on Tuesday night. Visitors were edged by ninth ranked Larranaga (6-6) 72-69. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Cordon. Larranaga forced 19 Cordon turnovers. American forward Lamar Roberson (203-86, college: La-Lafayette) fired 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Manuel Monteverde (194-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Alejandro Perez (200-78) produced 26 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and Brazilian center Dida Pereira (203-92, college: Sequoias CC) added 18 points and 13 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Larranaga maintains ninth place with 6-6 record. Cordon at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost.
