The game between fourth ranked Anhui (15-3) and 13th ranked Beijing (4-14) in Anhui on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Anhui outscored guests from Beijing 120-87. Anhui dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Beijing's 52 and made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Beijing 53-40 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by American forward Charles Gaines (201-81, college: S.Mississippi) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds and the other American import forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) supported him with 30 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) by power forward Kaiyang Gao (204-95) did not help to save the game for Beijing. American forward Devonte Upson (206-93, college: SE Louisiana) added 9 points and 12 rebounds for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Anhui have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 15-3 record. Beijing lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 14 games lost. Anhui will meet at home league's leader Shaanxi X. in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Beijing will play against Fujian (#11) in Fuzhou and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
