Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Jiangsu (1-18) was outscored by third ranked Hunan (16-3) in He Fei 105-83 on Wednesday. Hunan had a 42-27 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American-Jamaican guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 32 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists and American center Michael Holyfield (211-92, college: Sam Houston St.) supported him with 15 points and 17 rebounds. Even a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds by American guard Justin Bocot (193-88, college: S.Illinois) did not help to save the game for Jiangsu. British center Morakinyo Williams (210-88, college: Citadel) added 13 points and 15 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Hunan have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Guangxi. Jiangsu lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 18 lost games. Hunan will meet at home Hebei X. (#6) in the next round. Jiangsu will play against the league's second-placed Guangxi (#2) and hope to win that game.
