Regular Season Round 21: Norths Bears - Bankstown B. 83-64

State League top team - North Bears (14-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Bruins (8-7) in Crows Nest 83-64. North Bears made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Bruins were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Canadian forward Kendra Asleson (183-91) stepped up and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Renae Garlepp (177-86) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. North Bears' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Briana Maimone with 24 points and 7 rebounds and Marjy Grealish produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. North Bears maintains first place in League with 14-2 record. Loser Bruins keep the fifth position with seven games lost. North Bears will have a break next round. Bruins will play on the road against the league's second-placed Spireds (#2) in Hornsby and hope to win that game.
