Very predictable result in Kalgoorlie where sixth ranked Lightning (15-11) defeated 14th ranked Giants (5-21) 100-92 on Saturday. Guard Rowan Mackenzie (188-99) scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Jarrad Prue (198-82) chipped in 5 points and 26 rebounds during the contest. Four Lightning players scored in double figures. Lightning's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American swingman Jeylyn Sharpe (194-91, college: Rogers St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 17 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import power forward Kyle Sovine (206-94, college: St.Francis, IN) scored 26 points and 5 rebounds.
