No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Puente Alto (8-0) crushed at home 5th ranked Stadio Italiano (1-7) 93-39 on Saturday. Puente Alto dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Stadio Italiano's 16 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Puente Alto forced 25 Stadio Italiano turnovers and outrebounded them 42-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for point guard Ricardo Gomez (176-93) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds. The former international point guard Claudio Gallardo (180-87) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Colombian Joaquin Gomez replied with 9 points and Rodrigo Severi added 8 points in the effort for Stadio Italiano. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Puente Alto maintains first position in Pro with 8-0 record. Loser Stadio Italiano keeps the fifth place with seven games lost.
