Regular Season Round 23: Lhasa - Anhui 96-123

The game in Lhasa supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Anhui (17-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Lhasa (10-11). Anhui smashed Lhasa 123-96. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lhasa. Anhui dominated down low during the game scoring 86 of its points in the paint compared to Lhasa's 66. They outrebounded Lhasa 57-31 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was forward Charles Gaines (201-81, college: S.Mississippi) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds. Forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 29 points and 8 rebounds. Anhui's coach Changsuo Xu felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Swingman Lamar Patterson (196-91, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Pensack Sports) produced 45 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Aaron Jones (206-93, college: Mississippi) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Anhui maintains fourth place with 17-4 record. Lhasa at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost. Anhui's next round opponent will be Guizhou (#5) on the road. Lhasa will play against the league's leader Shaanxi X. in Xian and hope to win that game.
