The game in Mackay supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Pirates (15-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Meteorettes (9-9). Pirates did not have too big problems ending evening with a very confident victory 96-77. The game without a history. Pirates led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Pirates forced 20 Meteorettes turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The former international guard Nicole Seekamp (178-92, college: S.Dakota) notched 26 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and Madelyn Willey supported her with 20 points. Even a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds by American forward Ruvanna Campbell (189-93, college: Ill.-Chicago) did not help to save the game for Meteorettes. Her fellow American import forward Mia Loyd (180-94, college: N.Dakota) added 16 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Five Pirates and four Meteorettes players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory Pirates went down to fourth position (League) due to points difference. Meteorettes at the other side keep the seventh place with nine games lost.
