There was no surprise in Gold Coast where 13th ranked Rollers (3-15) were defeated by second ranked Force (16-2) 82-71 on Friday. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 11 points. Force made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Amanda Johnson fired a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Lithuanian forward Gintare Mazionyte (188-91, college: Texas) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. New Zealand forward Alicia Carline (190-93, college: Portland St.) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Kate Hewett (-96) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Rollers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Force maintains second position in League with 16-2 record having six points less than leader Bendigo LB. Loser Rollers keep the thirteenth place with 15 games lost.
