The game in Guizhou was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Anhui (18-4) played at the court of 5th ranked Guizhou (15-7). Anhui defeated Guizhou 112-102 on Friday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Guizhou. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 59-45 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Guizhou 47-34 including a 24-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) who had a double-double by scoring 48 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds. The other American import forward Charles Gaines (201-81, college: S.Mississippi) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was New Zealand guard Corey Webster (188-88, college: Lambuth) who recorded 35 points (!!!) and 7 assists and American-Nigerian center Chris Otule (211-90, college: Marquette) added 13 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anhui have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Hunan. Loser Guizhou keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Anhui will meet at home Wuhan (#6) in the next round. Guizhou will play against the league's leader Shaanxi X. in Xian and hope to secure a win.
