Regular Season Round 24: Shaanxi X. - Lhasa 122-111

NBL top team - Shaanxi X. (20-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighth ranked Lhasa (10-12) in Xian 122-111. The game was mostly controlled by Shaanxi X.. Lhasa was better in second period 30-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americans were the main players on the court. The winners were led by forward Troy Gillenwater (205-88, college: N.Mexico St.) who scored that evening 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (on 14-of-16 shooting from the field) and center David Simon (208-82, college: IPFW) supported him with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. Even a double-double of 39 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 7 assists by swingman Lamar Patterson (196-91, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for Lhasa. Forward Aaron Jones (206-93, college: Mississippi) added 20 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Lhasa's coach ZiKai Zhang rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Shaanxi X. have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 20-2 record. Lhasa at the other side dropped to the tenth place with 12 games lost. Shaanxi X. will play against Guizhou (#5) at home in the next round. Lhasa will play against Chongqing (#12) in Lanling and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
