Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Kampala: KIU Titans (#2) and City Oilers (#2). KIU Titans (15-4) won against visiting City Oilers (13-4) 94-79. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of City Oilers. KIU Titans made 25-of-33 charity shots (75.8 percent) during the game. City Oilers were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for guard Micheal Bwanga who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Chris Omanye (183-94) contributed with 12 points and 8 assists for the winners. Five KIU Titans players scored in double figures. The former international James Okello (194-90) replied with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Burundian forward Landry Ndikumana (198-95) added 9 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for City Oilers. City Oilers' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KIU Titans have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-4 record behind leader Betway Power. Defending champion City Oilers dropped to the third place with four games lost. KIU Titans will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. City Oilers will play against KCC Lions and hope to get back on the winning track.
