There was an upset in Cairns where higher ranked Sunshine CP (12-6) was defeated by ninth ranked Dolphins (8-10) 86-82 on Saturday. Sunshine CP trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 28-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 82-86 at the end of the game. Dolphins looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American swingman Robin Perkins (178-93, college: Rider) fired 33 points (!!!) and 4 steals for the winners. The other American import swingman NDea Bryant (183-94, college: N.Carolina) chipped in 11 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Dolphins players scored in double figures. Dolphins' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international center Abby Bishop (189-88) produced a triple-double by scoring 25 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists and the former international point guard Natalie Hurst (164-83) added 28 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Dolphins maintains ninth position in League with 8-10 record. Loser Sunshine CP keeps the fifth place with six games lost.
