Very significant was Can Tho CF's (#1, 10-2) victory against 3rd ranked Hanoi B. (7-6) 86-69. Can Tho CF looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward DeAngelo Hamilton (203-90, college: Washington St.) who had a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists and 6 steals. Swingman Tam Dinh-Thanh (192-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized Swedish guard Stefan Nguyen (190-92) produced 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Michael Bell (206-82, college: Florida Atlantic) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Can Tho CF maintains first position with 10-2 record. Loser Hanoi B. dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. Can Tho CF will meet league's second-placed Saigon Heat on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
