This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 8th ranked Ndejje (7-9) to fifth ranked UCU Canons (9-7) 62-59 on Sunday evening. UCU Canons outrebounded Ndejje 39-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Tanzanian forward Fadhili Chuma (-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Center Derrick Isiko (-97) contributed with 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Derrick Katumba (194-93) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Samuel Ajack (-91) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Ndejje. Ndejje's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. UCU Canons have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Pemba Warriors. Ndejje lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Our Saviour. UCU Canons will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ndejje will play against Our Saviour (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
