Regular Season Round 16: Angels - JKL Dolphins 46-86

NBL top team - JKL LD (12-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Angels (4-10) 86-46. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Angels. JKL LD dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Angels' 22. JKL LD forced 24 Angels turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The winners were led by Nansikombi Jamila who scored that evening 28 points and forward Hope Akello (-97) supported her with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four JKL LD players scored in double figures. Even 15 points by Irene Nalunkuma did not help to save the game for Angels. Cathy Amugusut added 11 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JKL LD have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-1 record. Newly promoted Angels keep the seventh place with ten games lost. JKL LD will play against league's second-placed UCU Ladies in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Angels will play against Magic Stormers (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
