Regular Season Round 26: Wuhan - Shaanxi X. 63-93

NBL top team - Shaanxi X. (22-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Wuhan (14-10) 93-63. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Wuhan. Shaanxi X. dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Wuhan's 40. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Wuhan's players. American forward Troy Gillenwater (205-88, college: N.Mexico St.) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import center David Simon (208-82, college: IPFW) chipped in 28 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Shaanxi X. players scored in double figures. Ukrainian center Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-94, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds and American swingman Devin Green (201-82, college: Hampton, agency: Interperformances) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shaanxi X. have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 22-2 record. Newly promoted Wuhan keeps the sixth place with ten games lost. Shaanxi X. will play against Hunan (#4) in Changsha in the next round. Wuhan will play at home against Chongqing and hopes to get back on the winning track.
