No shocking result in a game when Colon (9-5) beat at home Larre Borges (4-10) 86-80 on Thursday. Larre Borges trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 31-23 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 80-86 at the end of the game. Quite impressive performance for point guard Martin Mayora (180-95) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 assists. American guard Aaron Cosby (190-92, college: W.Kentucky) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Colon's coach Mathias Nieto used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Joaquin Jones (202-97) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and guard Luca Magnone (187-97) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Larre Borges. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Colon will face Auriblanco (#14) in Montevideo in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Larre Borges will play at home against Tabare and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
