Regular Season Round 27: Chongqing - Wuhan 117-109

An interesting game took place in Lanling where higher ranked Wuhan (14-11) was upset on the court of twelfth ranked Chongqing (10-15) 117-109. 24 personal fouls committed by Wuhan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American-Georgian guard Thaddus McFadden (188-87, college: Fairmont St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) who led his team to a victory with 35 points (!!!) and 8 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Center Mindaugas Kupsas (217-91, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Ukrainian center Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-94, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 13 rebounds and American swingman Devin Green (201-82, college: Hampton, agency: Interperformances) added 21 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Wuhan. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Wuhan's coach Wu Zheng rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chongqing maintains twelfth place with 10-15 record. Newly promoted Wuhan keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. Chongqing's next round opponent will be higher ranked Hunan (#3) in Changsha and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
