Regular Season Round 27: Henan - Beijing 141-130

Very expected game when 13th ranked Beijing (4-21) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Henan (13-13) 141-130 on Friday. Henan made 29-of-37 free shots (78.4 percent) during the game. Beijing was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for U.S. Virgin Islands forward Rakeem Christmas (206-91, college: Syracuse) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Yuxing Jiang (195-95) helped adding 31 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. The best for the losing side was power forward Kaiyang Gao (204-95) with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds and American guard Marquis Weddle (185-88, college: W.Virg.Wesl.) scored 18 points and 5 assists. Four Henan and five Beijing players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Henan maintains eighth place with 13-13 record. Beijing lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 21 games lost. Henan will face Luoyang (#11) on the road in the next round. Beijing will play against Guizhou and hope to win that game.
