Very expected game when 6th ranked Vikingos (2-8) were defeated on the road by second ranked CAN Oruro (7-2) 83-76. CAN Oruro dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Vikingos' 32. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The winners were led by American forward Howard Crawford (205-88, college: UAB) who scored that evening 24 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and Celmar Alanes (-97) supported him with 19 points and 6 steals. Even a double-double of 17 points and 15 rebounds by Brazilian center Rafael Rodrigues (213-87) did not help to save the game for Vikingos.
