Regular Season Round 29: Anhui - Jiangsu 102-76

There was no surprise when 15th ranked Jiangsu (2-25) was crushed on the road by second ranked Anhui (22-5) 102-76. Anhui dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Jiangsu's 54 and made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Croatian power forward Ivan Buva (208-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds. American forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) contributed with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. British center Morakinyo Williams (210-88, college: Citadel) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and center ZhenXin Liu (205-94) added 9 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Jiangsu. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anhui have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 22-5 record having just two points less than leader Shaanxi X., which they share with Hunan. Jiangsu lost fifth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 25 lost games. Anhui will play against Hebei X. (#6) at home in the next round. Jiangsu will play against the league's leader Shaanxi X. (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
