The game in Hochiminh was also quite interesting. Third ranked Thang Long W. (9-5) played at the court of 6th ranked HCMC W. (1-13). Thang Long W. did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 90-72 on Thursday. American power forward Jaywuan Hill (203-89, college: SW Baptist) notched 34 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the effort and naturalized American Justin Young (197, college: Cal Poly Pomona) supported him with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Even a double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds by American forward Quinton Doggett (206-90, college: Southern) did not help to save the game for HCMC W.. Thanh Nguyen Quoc added 16 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. HCMC W.'s coach Brian Rowsom rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion moved-up to second place. HCMC W. lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost.
