An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Potosi. First ranked Calero faced 4th placed Carl A-Z. Host Calero (9-1) defeated guests from Oruro (5-6) 92-85. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Louis Munks (190-90, college: Prairie View A&M) nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and swingman Mike Liabo (198-91, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 22 points. Liabo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Calero players scored in double figures. Calero's coach Giovanny Vargas used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Yavario Smith (182-89, college: Central Mo.) came up with 24 points and 6 assists and forward Paul Larsen (198-92, college: Mercer) added 18 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Carl A-Z in the defeat.
